Book Talk – My First Day

Activist, author, and NEA’s Read Across America Ambassador Marley Dias created this book talk for My First Day by Phung Nguyen Quang and Huynh Kim Lien (Make Me a World) to help educators and other caring adults spark a love of reading among readers of all ages and foster community around diverse books. Her book talk offers readers a recipe to “Read, Write, and Get Things Done,” encouraging reading and talking about the book, reflecting and expressing thoughts in writing, and putting ideas sparked by reading into action.
